Back about 10 years ago when Chris and I were first dating, we found this little gem in a bookstore.
It’s a collection of “If” questions that are designed to go deep into you, your personality, your beliefs and, yes, your soul.
Some random examples…
- If you could erase one thing from your conscience, what would it be?
- If you could give the Pope one piece of advice, what would you tell him?
- If you could change one thing in your own life to make it more balanced, what would it be?
- If you could name one person you know who has truly found their destiny, who would it be?
We’d ask each other questions from this insightfully written, little book, discuss our answers, and get to know each other better. Between the discussions that it created and the amount of time we spent actually talking with each other over skype (’cause remember, back then we then lived in two different countries) we probably got to know each other better and faster than most couples.

For today’s DID, I pulled this feisty little tome off the shelf (it’s literally been years since we’ve had it out), opened it up, and let it work its conversation-starting magic.
It’s good to know that knowing each other as well as we do after 10 years together and celebrating our second wedding anniversary tomorrow that we can still learn new things about each other.
