I’ve Taken Myself To Task

This one’s just for the Aussies, especially those around the Sydney area.

If you haven’t tried Airtasker yet, now might be the time to change that.

If you have been living under a rock and aren’t aware of one of the greatest ideas to come out of Sydney in the past five years, let me introduce you to Airtasker.

They describe it as…

Airtasker is a Sydney-based Australian company which provides an online and mobile marketplace enabling users to outsource everyday tasks. Users describe the task and indicate a budget, community members then bid to complete the task.

To be a little more succinct, it’s an online place where people who need stuff done go to find people who will do stuff for money.

It really is a handy service. Say you love gardens, but hate gardening, you can find someone to plant it for you. Or if you’re moving and need a few extra hands, you can find that too. And maybe you’re changing jobs and looking for help with your CV or cover letter, or need a photographer for a birthday party, or need someone with an eye for organising to help you clean out the garage, then pop by Airtasker and have a look.

For today’s DID, I actually added a profile on the site – promoting my writing and marketing skills. I’m often helping friends with their CVs, the various communications, application letters, and various other marketing and communications needs, so I figured, maybe there are other people out there who might also be able to use my help.

Plus, it’s always great to be able to help people and earn a little extra cash at the same time!

Is there anything you could do or get done via Airtasker?

I”ll bet there is!
