What Type of Soul Food Do I Need?


Most of you will probably agree with this statement. I know that I certainly do.

My problem is that I’m not sure as to what those things are.

I’m not sure what pastimes, activities, adventures I should be engaging in.

Somewhere along the way I became disconnected from what those things are for me. I’m not as in tune with myself as I used to be. As we move closer to the end of 2016  and closer to a new beginning, I’m going to make a concerted effort to find out and then pursue what those things are.

I know a few of them – my work, writing, spending time with friends, travel, but I need more to feed my soul on a daily basis.

Perhaps I’ll start reading more. Maybe I’ll take up a new hobby, sport, or language. Perhaps I’ll join a group or a few of them. Or take a class or a few of them.

I’m really going to try to make 2017 a year of action, of pursuits, of soulfulness, of connectedness.

I’m hoping that by the end of 2017 my soul is so full,  obese even, from being fed so often that it needs to go on a diet for 2018.  That’s the plan anyway!

I know one thing, right now, my soul is hungry and I can’t ignore its grumbles any longer.

I just need to decide what’s on the menu.
