Regrets, I’ve Had a Few

24.07.2016 – Day 206

Regrets, I’ve Had a Few

be kind

Want fewer regrets in life?

Be kinder.

It’s simple.

There are so many ways every day that we can be kind. Hold open a door. Smile at a stranger. Pick up a piece of garbage from the park and toss it in a bin. Listen to a friend who needs to talk. Don’t talk about someone behind their back. Offer to babysit. Stand up for someone who is being ridiculed. Send a thank you note. Buy someone flowers. Bring in a neighbour’s bin. Make your kids’ favourite dinner. Volunteer. Say, “thank you”. Don’t complain. Disagree without being disagreeable. Surprise someone you care about with a little gift. Buy someone’s coffee behind you in the drive-thru. Let someone in front of you in line.Give someone a compliment. Congratulate a co-worker on a job well done. Choose not to share that racist joke. Listen.

Being kind is better than being right. Being kind is better than being mean. Being kind is better than doing nothing at all.

Be kind.
