13.05.2016 – Day 134
I don’t know whether it’s because I’m Canadian and genetically predisposed to the words, “I’m sorry” or because I’m a female, but I have found myself occasionally apologising for my emotions. After reading this, I’ve made a promise to myself not to do this anymore.
I think this quote is spot on. I also believe that the only past an emotion is through it.
So, if a movie makes me bawl like a baby or I get impassioned during a discussion, or I get frustrated or disappointed, I’m going to embrace these feelings in all their emotional glory. As long as these emotions are authentic, then they have a rightful place in my life.
And let’s face it, there should be absolutely nothing wrong with getting real!
