You Have My Permission

You Have My Permission

permission

But that’s not really what you need. Let me explain.

It’s so easy for us to criticize ourselves or to entertain doubt and fear.

We often question our actions and decisions. We even give ourselves a good talking to, or the occasional full on scolding for a poor choice or action. Most of us are lucky if we make time to pay ourselves a small compliment every once in a while.

It seems that one of the hardest things to do for ourselves is to give ourselves permission.

This needs to change. And it needs to start with you.

To live a good life, a rewarding life, a passionate life, we need to give ourselves permission to live a bigger life.

As this quote suggests, we need to give ourselves permission to step into who we are meant to be, to live up to life’s expectations of us even if those expectations happen to be far beyond our own.

Imagine what would and could happen if we could stop living so damn small – stop settling for average, stop settling for good or for status quo. Imagine how our lives – our relationships, our jobs, our own development, our quality of life and love – could be different, could be better, could be bigger.

To do this, to open ourselves up to the possibilities, we need to give ourselves permission. But, what exactly do we need to give ourselves permission to do?

We need to give ourselves permission to listen to ourselves over the thoughts and opinions of others. We need to give ourselves permission to step outside our comfort zone and try new things, to fail, and to try again. We need to give ourselves permission to be different, to follow our hearts as well as our heads. We need to give ourselves permission to take a different path, chart a different course, change what isn’t working and keep changing it until we find what does. We need to give ourselves permission to imagine, to dream, to fantasize, to change, to innovate, to revolutionize, to transform.

We need to give ourselves permission to be our biggest and best possible self. We are all meant for greatness, definitely for greater things than we are currently experiencing.

So why not give yourself permission to live big and stop playing small?

Just imagine how big your life could be if instead of negativity you gave yourself permission.
