14.01.2016 – Day 14
Pain will Pass
THIS IS A SPECIAL DEDICATION TO THOSE OF YOU I KNOW ARE EXPERIENCING PAIN TODAY
We all experience pain – physical, emotional, and psychological pain.
Whether your pain is caused by a broken leg or a broken heart, the loss of a loved one or the new opportunity that didn’t go as expected, it is designed to teach us, to form us, to remind us of what’s important, of what we shouldn’t take for granted. In these examples, it reminds us that we had healthy legs that carried us places, a heart that found someone to love, people in our lives who we cared about and who cared about us, and that we actually took chances and seized opportunities for change.
And while the pain of loss, disappointment, grief, regret or abandonment is real. It, thankfully, doesn’t last.
The pain lessens over time and most of it will eventually pass.
And, we also become stronger by surviving it.
So the next time your in the depths of it, when you feel crushed by its tremendous burden, when pain is all you’re feeling, please try to remember that it a reminder of what you had, have and may have again. It’s a reminder of your many blessings. It’s a reminder of the fleeting and dynamic nature of life. It’s a reminder that we are human.
Pain will pass. Hopefully, its lessons will remain.
